Rugged Tool Cart For Motocross Race Team
Advanced Motion & Controls custom built this tool cart specifically for one of our clients who is professionally competing in motocross races across Canada.
The concept was to build a rugged and sturdy tool cart which would be able to move over all sorts of terrain, be able to withstand the punishment associated with being loaded in and out of a vehicle in between races as well as contain all of the necessary spare parts and tools required by the racer.
The tool cart was build out of Bosch Rexroth 30x30 & 30x60 aluminum profile, as well as custom machined 3mm and 6mm aluminum plates. The top work surface tray is removable for easy cleaning and the toolbox has been secured in the cart. The tool cart also features a slide out drawer at the bottom with heavy duty slides as well as a side compartment with door and interior shelving for cleaning and lubrication products.
The tool cart sits on a chassis of Pneumatic wheels and automotive style steering for ease of handling and maneuvering.
Most of the exterior profile slots were covered up with aluminum T-Slot cover to reduce the amount of dirt collecting in them, and some were left open to allow for other accessories to be added to the cart. The T-Slot covers can also be removed to allow for additional accessories to be added in the future.
