Robotiq palletizing solutions operate with automating software to simplify tasks

Palletizing solutions by Robotiq are easy to use through a PC or phone.

Advanced Motion & Controls Ltd. carries various products by Robotiq, especially grippers. The manufacturer also offers two series of innovative palletizing solutions, the AX and PE series, both of which allow products to palletize themselves and free workers for more important tasks. Robotiq has freed more than 13,000 hands with its products.

Both of these models of palletizing solutions by Robotiq operate with a unique automating software that makes all relevant applications easier.

Faster return on investment

The AX series of palletizing solutions works with a maximum pallet height of 2¾ metres, while the PE series works with a maximum pallet height of 1½ metres. Both models elevate the workforce with four significant advantages:

  • Simpler changeovers. With three easy steps for all ISO-certified pallet sizes, these devices adapt easily to any production schedule, so users do not need to pause production lines for hours.
  • Faster return on investment. Unparalleled cycle times, thanks to optimized, synchronized motion control of the collaborative robot and seventh axis.
  • Improved deployment. The palletizing solution yields a small footprint that accommodates existing floor plans, with complete compatibility between elements. No external PC is necessary.
  • Safety. Robotiq has built an environment for safe integration, and third-party safeguard devices are encouraged, as safety is the highest priority.

Once the customer picks a solution, everything is adapted automatically via the software. The next step is to create the pallet. There are three simple steps in setting up the application, to generate and optimize all trajectories and robot movements automatically. First, enter the box dimensions, weight, and orientation (each unit handles a payload of up to 16 kilograms). Next, enter the pallet dimensions, including depth and width. Finally, enter the pallet configuration, and the solution is ready to go.

Automation is designed to simplify operations, and that is what this software achieves with palletizing. Workers do not like performing palletizing tasks manually, especially with heavy items; it is a repetitive and exhausting application. With the help of Advanced Motion & Controls, manufacturing operations are easier for everybody.
