The Opportunity
Reporting to the Applications Group Leader and within our Business Development Group, the Application Specialist plays a key role in supporting solution-based sales opportunities across Ontario, based in the GTA. You will work closely with Sales and the Applications Group to engage customers, understand their application requirements, and develop automation solutions that deliver measurable improvements in productivity, quality, safety, and operational performance. In this role, you will lead or support technical customer engagements, develop and execute proof-of-concept (POC) projects, and provide hands-on application expertise throughout the sales cycle. You will be a key contributor in helping customers evaluate and validate automation solutions, ensuring confidence in the technical approach and solution fit. This is a customer-facing, application-driven role where your work directly influences project success and revenue generation.
What We’re Looking For
You are a technically inclined individual with experience in automation, mechanical systems, fluid power, or industrial applications. You are comfortable working in customer-facing environments and enjoy translating technical requirements into real-world solutions.
You bring:
• Strong mechanical and/or automation aptitude with hands-on technical capability
• Experience or interest in application engineering, technical support, or solution development
• Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with customers
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a technical team
• A desire to grow expertise across a broad range of automation technologies
• Post-secondary education in engineering technology, mechanical, automation, or related field (or equivalent experience)

While compensation packages are determined by such things as the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience, this position is expected to be paid between $60,000 and $85,000 annually. Compensation is made up of salary, bonuses, and benefits.
