The LEF series slider type electric actuator features a low profile height of 46mm (LEF16). The actuator’s main body can be mounted without removing any exterior components, such as the cover, making installation easy. The standard equipped seal band covers the guide, ball screw and belt, preventing grease and external foreign matter from splashing and entering the LEF. There are 2 types of drivers available, ball screw or timing belt. Available motors include servo motor ball screw drive or step motor belt drive. When the LEF is ordered with the controller, initial data of the actuator is preset in the controller allowing start-up in a short time with the “easy mode”.
The LES series electric slide table actuator uses a compactly-integrated, recirculating linear guide for high rigidity and high precision. When the LES is ordered with the controller, initial data of the actuator is preset in the controller allowing start-up in a short time with the “easy mode”. Two types of built-in motors (step or servo) are available. The series can be top or bottom mounted. In addition, the LES series is available in an optional symmetric style (reversed table and cable positions from the standard model).
SMC’s series LER electric rotary table is available in a basic or high precision style, and features a low profile, space-saving design. A digital control allows easy setting of the angular speed, and angular acceleration/deceleration, etc. Rotation angle is possible up to 320° (310° on LER10). Up to 6.6 N·m of rotation torque (3.3 N·m of pushing torque available). The rotation speed of range is from 20°/sec to 420°/sec, depending on the table accuracy (basic or high precision). Series LER uses a worm gear and belt drive mechanism.
The rod type electric actuator LEY series has various body sizes with thrust equivalent to 16, 25, and 32 bore size. Direct or bracket mountings are available in three directions or types. Thrust, speed and positioning (64 points) can be managed with the use of an optional controller. Possible applications include transfer, opening and shutting, pressing, pushing, and press-fitting.
Designed to be compact and function in areas where height and space is limited, SMC’s new LEL low-profile electric actuator achieves a 50% reduction in height (when compared to the LEFB) by side mounting the motor. Suitable for handling operations, this guide rod slider is available with sliding bearings or ball bushing bearings. Both types offer positioning repeatability of ±0.1mm, and up to 64 positioning points as standard. In addition, the LEL series has the design function to mount auto switches, allowing easy access to check the limit and intermediate signals.
SMC’s LEP series of miniature electric actuators offer a high level of precision, accuracy and repeatability in a compact and lightweight design. Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, the miniature rod (LEPY) and miniature slide table (LEPS) come with selectable high pushing force, and/or compact and lightweight motor options. By placing the motor in the axial direction, and reducing the width to 20.5mm and 21mm respectively, both models offer an ideal space saving solution. The LEP series can be adapted for any application with up to 64 positioning points, and positioning repeatability of ± 0.05mm as standard. The manual override screw allows the LEP series to be easily controlled since adjustments are possible with the power OFF.
A high rigidity, slider type electric actuator, series LEJ is available in both ball screw, LEJS, and belt drive, LEJB models. The LEJ offers 2 types of motor cables, standard and robotic (flexible). Seal bands, equipped as standard, cover the guide preventing grease from splashing, and external foreign matter from entering. LEJS (ball screw drive) can be used for both horizontal and vertical mounting applications. LEJB (belt drive) is applicable to horizontal applications only.
SMC’s E-MY2 series e-rodless actuators require no programming, and have both the operational ability of an air cylinder, and the speed control-ability of an electric actuator. The series consists of the E-MY2B (basic), E-MY2C (cam follower guide), E-MY2H (linear guide, single axis), and the E-MY2HT (linear guide, double axis) styles. Offered in an integrated or remote control type, the E-MY2 is available with 3 or 5-point accurate stop options (2-points for both ends, with the remaining points for any preferred intermediate stops), and a wide selection of standard strokes, speed rates, and applicable loads.
The LXF series is a low profile, short stroke electric actuator. The system is designed to be compact for easy system integration. Basic structure of the LXF consists of a linear motion guide, a stepper motor and an ACME lead screw. The standard stepper motor can be replaced with motors from other manufacturers.
The LZ series is an electric cylinder that can operate like an air cylinder. Available in 2 body types with lead screw and motor size options, the LZ product line are all powered by 24VDC motors, which provide both stable and efficient end-to-end performance without the need for compressed air. Multiple mounting choices include basic, foot, front flange and front trunnion, and stroke lengths can be selected up to 200mm.
Series LJ1 is a uni-axial electric actuator available in a high rigidity direct acting guide type (LJ1H), or a direct acting slider guide type (LJ1S). The completely flat top surface of the LJ1 series improves freedom in mounting of work pieces. With the slider guide, slide screw type, low drive noise of 47dB or less is possible.
Electric actuator, series LG1, uses a high rigidity, direct acting guide. Reduced height and length give the actuator a low profile, space saving design. The LG1 has a horizontal mounting orientation, and is available with either a ground ball screw or rolled ball screw lead type. The AC servo motor is available with an incremental or absolute encoder.
The LTF is an electric actuator with a linear guide built into the actuator body. The series is compact and lightweight, designed to save space. Martensitic stainless steel material is standard for this frame type linear guide and the frame is electroless nickel-plated.
SMC’s LAT3 card motor is a compact, thin (same size as a business card) electric slide table with a linear motor and displacement sensor integrated into one unit. It is compact and lightweight with positioning and measurement capability. The LATC4, card motor controller offers 2 methods of step data setting. Takt time entry allows easy programming by inputting just 3 parameters: positioning time, target position and load mass. Speed entry settings require inputting target position, speed, acceleration, deceleration, and load mass.
