SMC’s AMG series of water separators are available from Advanced Motion & Controls Ltd.

A high water-removal rate

SMC’s AMG150C-550C/AMG650-850 New Style water separators are installed on air-pressure lines to remove water drops from compressed air. These units are available in several sizes, with a variety of optional combinations to meet any application requirements. Like SMC’s other main line filters, each water separator in this series removes particles that are difficult to remove with standard air filters.

The AMG series consists of water separators with possible modular connections and a water removal rate of 99 per cent. Each separator also offers a maximum operating pressure of one megapascal. Options available include fluororubber material, medium air pressure, drain guide, IN-OUT reversal direction, degreasing wash, and white vaseline.

Product options available with the SMC AMG water-separator series include the following:

• Body size: Seven different sizes available, from 150C to 850 (300 to 12,000 litres per minute).
• Thread: Rc, F (G), or N (NPT).
• Port size: Eight port sizes available, ranging from 1/8 to two.
• Accessory: Bracket available.
• Auto drain: Options include drain cock with auto drain, or N.C. or N.O. drain.
• Rubber material: Standard rubber or fluororubber.
• Air pressure: Either standard pressure, or medium pressure of 1.6 megapascals.
• Drain guide: ¼ female-threaded guide available.
• Made-to-order: Options include X12 (white-vaseline specifications), X15 (IN-OUT flange), and X26 (N.C. or N.O. auto drain, or drain piping type).
